Campground Policies
We want you to have fun and enjoy your stay with us at Roaring River Hills Campground & Cabins!
- Check In: 3:00 PM

- Quiet Time: 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM
- Must be 21 years of age to reserve a campsite, cabin, or any rental sites.
- CAMPGROUND SPEED LIMIT: 6 MPH AT ALL TIMES! Please observe entrance, exit, one-way, and speed limit signs at all times. Drive carefully and obey road signs. Motor vehicles to be operated by licensed drivers only. All Missouri State laws are to be followed.
- Smoking (including the use of electronic smoking devices) is prohibited in ALL buildings and within 25 feet of all public entrances.
- Registration tags/Stickers for Seasonal must be visibly displayed on all vehicles.
- Golf Carts only (Electric or gas) NO mopeds or motorized scooters, UTV’s, Side bys, are allowed! Bicycles are allowed, helmets required under 14 years of age.
- Shirts and shoes must be worn at all times when entering the General store.
- Please do not use fire pits as garbage pits. Dispose of garbage in designated receptacles.
- Pets are always welcome, please register pets in the office upon arrival. They must be kept on a leash, cleaned up after, and closely monitored at all times. No pets (with the exception of service animals) allowed in store, bathhouse, or other buildings on property. (See extended policies for more information)
- Early arrival between 12:00 PM- 3:00 PM – $10 additional fee.
- Late Departure between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM – $10 additional fee.
- Early and late check-in/check-out may be available and is based on site availability only there is no guarantee.

- Restrooms cannot be cleaned after each use, please clean up after yourself, the guests following you will appreciate it.
- Campsites must be kept clean and neat at all times and upon departing.
- Campground guests are responsible for the conduct, behavior, and monitoring of their children, pets, and visitors. (See extended policies for more information)
- Firearms, lethal weapons, and drugs are prohibited on property. No fireworks allowed within the campground at any time!
- Common courtesy will prevail between all guests in the park. Please remember that RRHC&C is a family oriented campground, with many young children, Foul language and / or excessive abuse of alcoholic beverages are not good examples for them. Expulsion from the property will result if excessive foul language and alcohol abuse are deemed inappropriate by campground owners/employees and can result in immediate eviction without refund.
- Children must be supervised at all times. Children 8 or under, for their own safety, must be accompanied by an adult at all times on RRHC&C property and facilities. Children and teenagers must be at their campsites by quiet time. (See extended policies for more information)
- Metal detectors are not permitted on the campground property.
- Alcohol consumption is permitted at campsite & designated locations. Underage drinking is never allowed. Drunkenness is not allowed and may result in eviction with no refund.
- Please refrain from walking through occupied sites. Stay on roads and paths
- Radio, stereo, etc. should be heard only at your site.
- Washing of vehicles is not permitted.
- Ponds are for fishing only. Catch and Release-no license required.

- Absolutely no grease, oil, or gas may be dumped on property.
- Wastewater must be discharged into authorized receptacles only and never discharged onto the grounds.
- Most importantly, be safe and have fun!!!
Site Policies
- Daily and weekly rates based on Family of 4 (extra visitors $5.00 per adult and $3.00 per child under the age of 18 will be charged upon entry per day. )
- ONE CAMPING UNIT PER SITE (a camping unit is (1) RV, Pop-up, Truck Camper or Van).
- 1 vehicle maximum per site not including golf carts. (See extended policies for more information)
- All visitors must register at the office upon arrival to obtain a visitor’s pass and park in designated parking areas and must leave by 10:00 pm.
- 3 night minimum for holidays or events.
- TV, radios, music players etc. are to be kept at a low volume at all times.
- No playing of private drums or electric musical instruments in the campground.
- Campsites are assigned by reservation, do not change sites without consulting the management.
- Campsites cannot be occupied without an original renter. Family and guests are not permitted to occupy the site without original renter present.
- Fireworks, guns, bows and arrows, sling shots, memorial / sky lanterns etc. are ABSOLUTELY PROHIBITED.
- Minors are not allowed to use axes, hatchets, saws, knives, chainsaws, etc.
- Cutting of all trees, alive or dead, is prohibited. Please inform the campground owner if tree cutting / pruning is necessary.
- No nails, large ropes, wire or cables are to be attached to trees.
- Only portable temporary cord lines may be used at your campsite and must be removed when not in use.
- Pet owners must read and sign pet policy, and register pets upon arrival to be kept on file with the campground owner. Pet owners must also remit a copy of vaccinations to the campground owner. (See extended policies for more information)
- The campground water supplied is city water and RRHC&C gets charged by the gallon of use, so please be considerate. Campers are not permitted to play with hoses, spigots, portable swimming pools, etc. Campers are not permitted to wash vehicles, or golf carts.
- Washing of trailers is not permitted.
- Campfires must not be larger than three (3) feet in diameter and two (2) feet in height. Campfires must be placed in the fire ring, moving of the fire ring is only to be done by RRHC&C owners / employees. Fires must be attended and controlled at all times and properly extinguished. (See extended policies for more information)
Visitor Policies
- All visitors must stop in the store to register and display appropriate registration tags.
- Visitor passes are $10.00 per vehicle per night. (this includes 2 visitors) This fee allows us to continually improve the park, keep our facilities pristine, and ensure we know who is in the campground at all times.
- Visitors are NOT Allowed to bring pets.
- Visitor parking is located in the front lot in front of the store/office.
- Extra guest pass fee of $5.00 per adult and $3.00 per child under the age of 18 will be charged upon entry per day. (max of 6 total guests allowed)
- Visiting Hours are 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily.
- All visitors must abide by campground rules.
Disclosure *All guests and vendors are responsible for abiding by campground rules and policies. Any person who fails to adhere to the campground rules and policies may be evicted from the grounds at the sole discretion of campground management without refund. Guests use the campground facilities and amenities at their own risk. The campground is not responsible for loss or damage due to fire, accident, theft, weather, or catastrophic events. This includes injuries resulting in bodily harm. Management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone. Management reserves the right to make changes to the rules and policies at any time, without prior notice.
Detailed Policies
Golf Cart Policy
Registered camping guests are welcome to bring their golf carts to the campground, however, they must be insured, and a copy of the insurance presented to the office when they register. Guests are required to read, date and sign a form outlining the policy and rules of golf cart use at the campground. All rules must be obeyed or the privilege to use the golf cart in the park may be revoked.
Not allowed are: 3 wheeled, 2 stroke or excessively loud carts also not allowed. NO ATV, UTV, farm equipment or other motorized recreational vehicles.
- This form states the rules and regulations applying to golf carts operated on the campground property at RRHC&C. A copy of this form must be signed by the golf cart owner and kept on file with the campground owner prior to the arrival of the golf cart to RRHC&C property.
- Only licensed drivers are allowed to operate golf carts on campground property.
- Only persons listed on the insurance policy are allowed to operate golf carts on campground property. No guests unless listed on the insurance.
- Golf carts are not allowed to be overloaded beyond passenger capacity.
- Golf carts are to be driven on roads only, not green space.
- At dusk / night golf carts must have working lights on the front and rear of the vehicle.
- The golf cart owner is responsible for the vehicle and any damage caused, regardless of who is driving.
- Golf cart speed is not to exceed the park speed limit of 6 mph.
- Golf cart owner’s campsite number must be displayed on the golf cart at all times.
- A certificate of insurance for each golf cart must be on file with the campground owner prior to arrival on campground property.
- No loud or offensive horns and / or loud noise makers.
- Loud radios, music players, etc. shall not be disturbing to others. Please keep music at a reasonable level.
- Golf cart must be properly muffled. Excessive carts will have to be repaired or removed from the property.
- No 2-stroke gas engines or 3-wheeled golf cars will be permitted in the campground.
- Campground owners can deny or ask for removal of any golf cart from campground property at any time.
Pet Policy
NO aggressive dogs are permitted.
- Pets to be registered in the office upon arrival.
- Pets are not allowed in the camper and glamping tent rentals.
- Pets should be on a short leash at all times and to remain tied on a strong durable chain or rope that will not allow the pet to extend off the site in ANY DIRECTION.
- Pets should never be left unattended.
- Pets should always be on a short leash when walking them.
- All pet droppings shall be the responsibility of the pet owner and be picked up and disposed of immediately.
- All pets should have the proper papers for vaccinations to be presented to the campground owners.
- If any pet is creating a disturbance or being a nuisance, the pet shall immediately be removed per the request of campground management.
- No more than 2 pets per site allowed.
- Visitors of campers are not permitted to bring pets.
- No pets allowed in the camp store, activity center, rental units or bathroom facilities unless the animal is an ADA approved service animal.
- Campground owners can deny any pets, whatsoever, into the campground.
- Any dog with ANY BITE HISTORY is not permitted entrance into the campground.
- Pet owner is responsible for all actions by a pet. Any evidence of aggression of any kind by a pet toward a child will result in immediate and permanent removal of the pet from RRHC&C.
NOTE: Only registered campers are allowed pets, please ask your guests/visitors to leave their pets at home.
Fishing Ponds
- Catch and release only.
- No fishing in water prior to March 1. No fishing when the weather is unstable.
- All pond side activity is at your own risk. ABSOLUTELY NO SWIMMING IN THE POND.
Garbage and Rubbish
- A designated dumpster will be on the property for all trash to be disposed of.
- Sanitary napkins, tampons, diapers, etc. must NEVER be placed in toilets or the septic system.
Motor Vehicles
- All motorized vehicles must be insured. All motor vehicles must be registered and display a RRHC&C parking permit on front dash. All unpermitted vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense. Drive only on roads.
- Only licensed vehicles are to be operated in the park. Only licensed operators are allowed to drive on RRHC&C property.
- Campground speed limit 6 mph. This is strictly enforced. Motors must be properly muffled.
- No more than 1 vehicle per campsite. Do not use open campsites to park vehicles. Extra cars may be parked for short periods at group areas or the visitor parking lot if available.
- Golf cart owners must read and sign separate golf cart policies including insurance cards, to be kept on file with the campground owner. All golf carts must display registration stickers or will be removed from the property at the vehicle owner’s expense. Licensed drivers only.
- All golf cart riders must be in proper seats. Do not overload golf cars, this is dangerous and causes injury
Children and Young Persons
- The adults of a camping family are responsible for all activities of their children and all your persons registered at their campsite. Monetary restitution must be made for any acts of vandalism.
- Absolutely no children or your persons are to be left unattended at the campground without adult supervision.
- Children and young children must be properly supervised when using bathrooms.
- All children and young persons must be at their campsite by 10pm.
- RRHC&C requires children 14 years of age and younger to wear helmets when riding a bicycle.
- Children and young persons are to be supervised at all times.

Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations on overnight/weekly sites must be made 10 days in advance or a fee equal to one night stay will apply.
- Cancellations on a holiday weekend must be made 30 days in advance or no refund will be given.
- A $10.00 office processing fee will be deducted from your cancellation refund.
- $10 Cancellation fee; no refund 7 days prior to check-in. Example: A Friday reservation needs to be canceled Friday of the prior week. If a reservation is canceled within the appropriate time frame, a refund will be issued to the card used less $35.00 (deposit and cancellation fee).
Firewood Policy
- No outside firewood is allowed to be brought into RRHC&C
- Local firewood can be purchased from camp store.
Fees and Payment
- Rates are based on a family of 4. Additional overnight guests $10.00 per person (includes 2 visitors).
- Extra visitor day pass fee of $5.00 per adult and $3.00 per child under the age of 18 will be charged upon entry.
- A valid credit card is required to make a reservation.
- RRHC&C reserves the right to ask a guest to leave the park without refund.
- The owner/management of RRHC&C absolve themselves from any and all liability and responsibility pertaining to the loss by fire, theft, property damage, accident or any other cause whatsoever. The owner/management also has the right to refuse any RV, camper or tent.
